Alex Trickel
Atvolve co-founder | Coach, Seattle

Hey! I’m Alex. I live in the greater Seattle area and have helped hundreds of clients since starting my practice in 2011. I spent a decade working in a private gym in Hollywood, CA, and transitioned to remote coaching when the pandemic hit. Starting in 2024, I teamed up with a small group of incredible trainers across the U.S. to further strengthen the experience we offer our clients.
I was a competitive runner for over a decade, and my career began with a deep curiosity about how to run stronger and stay resilient. I’m also hypermobile, and after having two kids and entering the world of peri-menopause, that hypermobility has become more pronounced. I live with MCAS, Interstitial Cystitis, dysautonomia, and exercise induced anaphylaxis, which has taught me firsthand how important individualized, finely tuned strength training and nutrition are for building joint stability, avoiding injury, and managing flare-ups. Supporting bodies through change and helping people feel strong, capable, and confident as they age has become a true passion of mine. I find the intricacies of the human body and mind endlessly fascinating, and I love helping clients better understand their own.
Outside of training, you’ll usually find me experimenting in the kitchen with my two kids, finding ways to make indulgent treats a little more nourishing; or out on the tennis courts playing myself or coaching my daughters and their friends. I'm also a huge fantasy book nerd!
I look forward to connecting with you!

Elise McFadden
Coach, Los Angeles

Hi! I’m Elise. I have been a dance coach since 2016 and a personal trainer since 2022, working both online and in person throughout the greater Los Angeles area. My coaching focuses on strength training and supporting clients navigating autoimmune conditions.
I spent 15 years as a dancer before developing an autoimmune disease in 2015. After a rapid onset and several years of misdiagnoses, I was ultimately diagnosed with Lupus, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. While medication played an important role, it was strength training, mobility work, and nutrition that truly helped me regain stability and manage my symptoms. That experience now deeply informs how I coach and support others.
Outside of training, I enjoy exploring new styles of AIP-compliant cuisine (even if I’m not the most polished cook), cross-stitching gifts for friends, golfing with my family, training on barred apparatus, and going to live music shows.
I’m excited to connect with you!

Dana Featherston
Coach, Seattle

Hey! I’m Dana. My passion for fitness and health began in 2023 when I started my own journey towards feeling stronger and healthier. As an exhausted mom struggling to keep up with her kids, I built healthy habits over time that led to a 90lb weight loss, and along the way, I discovered my own hypermobility diagnosis. That discovery sparked my passion for becoming a personal trainer, so I could help others navigate the fitness and health tools that work best for their own bodies.
As a former tech employee turned stay-at-home parent, I know firsthand the toll a desk job or the physical demands of parenting can take on the body. My coaching focuses on helping people learn proper form and movement patterns to build a strong and lasting foundation. Before I knew I was hypermobile, I trained without the right form or support, which led to avoidable injuries that took me out of the gym for months while I managed pain and flare-ups. Learning to move and build strength properly unlocked a new life for me, one where I can keep up with (and even beat) my kids in races, for now! Whether it's hypermobility, perimenopause symptoms, weight loss, or the everyday struggles of life, I love helping people feel their best and build habits that last.
Outside of training, you'll probably find me adventuring with my family on local trails, in the kitchen making something super healthy or wonderfully indulgent, belting out car karaoke on the way here and there with my kids, snuggled up on the couch with some trashy TV, or listening to a spooky podcast.
I look forward to partnering with you!
