Alex Trickel

Atvolve co-founder | Coach, Seattle

Hey! I’m Alex. I live in the greater Seattle area and have helped hundreds of clients since starting my practice in 2011. I spent a decade working in a private gym in Hollywood, CA, and transitioned to remote coaching when the pandemic hit. Starting in 2024, I teamed up with a small group of incredible trainers across the U.S. to further strengthen the experience we offer our clients.

I was a competitive runner for over a decade, and my career began with a deep curiosity about how to run stronger and stay resilient. I’m also hypermobile, and after having two kids and entering the world of peri-menopause, that hypermobility has become more pronounced. I live with MCAS, Interstitial Cystitis and exercise induced anaphylaxis, which has taught me firsthand how important individualized, finely tuned strength training and nutrition are for building joint stability, avoiding injury, and managing flare-ups. Supporting bodies through change and helping people feel strong, capable, and confident as they age has become a true passion of mine. I find the intricacies of the human body and mind endlessly fascinating, and I love helping clients better understand their own.

Outside of training, you’ll usually find me experimenting in the kitchen with my two kids, finding ways to make indulgent treats a little more nourishing. I’ve recently started re-learning the piano with my oldest daughter, love playing tennis, and am a big fantasy book fan.

I look forward to connecting with you!

Hey what’s up! I’m Matt. I’ve been a personal trainer since 2022, working with clients in both private and group fitness settings; and I have worked with youth athletics since 2019.  I’m passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and build fitness routines that actually fit their lives. Moving into online coaching has allowed me to reach more people and support them wherever they are.

I’m a former athlete, and chances are if there’s a sport out there, I’ve tried it at some point. Football and rugby were what initially drew me into fitness training, and working out for both physical and mental gains has been a constant in my life. Becoming a dad three years ago changed my perspective and pushed me to find new ways to stay active while balancing family and career. That challenge is something I see reflected in many of the people I work with.

I’ve trained a wide range of clients — from busy parents and grandparents who want to improve daily function, to kids looking to build confidence and perform better in sports. I have extensive experience training around injuries, with a strong focus on joint stability, mobility, and sustainable progress. My philosophy is simple: fitness should be accessible, adaptable, and for everyone.

Outside of training, I love spending time with my family. I’m a huge sports fan — whether I’m playing, watching, or talking about them — but I also love a good fantasy saga like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. I’m always down for a solid thriller series, video games, cooking, or getting outside for a hike.

I look forward to partnering with you!

Hi! I’m Elise. I have been a dance coach since 2016 and a personal trainer since 2022, working both online and in person throughout the greater Los Angeles area. My coaching focuses on strength training and supporting clients navigating autoimmune conditions.

I spent 15 years as a dancer before developing an autoimmune disease in 2015. After a rapid onset and several years of misdiagnoses, I was ultimately diagnosed with Lupus, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. While medication played an important role, it was strength training, mobility work, and nutrition that truly helped me regain stability and manage my symptoms. That experience now deeply informs how I coach and support others.

Outside of training, I enjoy exploring new styles of AIP-compliant cuisine (even if I’m not the most polished cook), cross-stitching gifts for friends, golfing with my family, training on barred apparatus, and going to live music shows.

I’m excited to connect with you!

Our mission is to help you build a body you feel confident living in

Every piece of your program is made just for you — not a template, not a cookie-cutter plan, not something we copy/paste. You get a plan that fits your body and your life. That’s the partnership. That’s the goal.

Our mission

Build a strong partnership with you to create a body that moves more freely, is stronger and resilient to injury, and most importantly a body you feel confident in.

We see strength and mobility as superpowers and recovery as the special sauce that makes progress sustainable and growth fueling, preventing burnout and supporting long-term well-being. True fitness comes not from pushing harder alone, but from balancing effort with restoration, creating a body and mind that thrive in every aspect of life.
