Alex Trickel, Atvolve co-founder and Seattle based Coach

Hey! I’m Alex. I live in the greater Seattle area and have helped hundreds of clients since starting my practice in 2011. I worked in a private gym in Hollywood, CA for almost a decade and transitioned remotely when the pandemic hit. In the past year, I teamed up with a few other great trainers across the U.S. to strengthen the experience we offer to our clients. 

​

I was a competitive runner for over a decade and dedicated myself to understanding how to run stronger, which is where my career started. I am also hypermobile and after having two kids, my hypermobility has gained some speed. My body requires very fine tuned strength training to avoid injury; building joint stability and focusing on 'aging gracefully' has become a passion!  I find navigating the intricacies of the human body and mind so incredibly interesting.

Outside of training, I love experimenting in the kitchen with my two kiddos, finding ways to make indulgent treats healthier. I recently started re-learning how to play the piano with my oldest daughter. I love playing tennis and am a huge fantasy book fan.  â€‹

Matt Clash, Baltimore based Coach

Hey, what’s up! I’m Matt. I have been a personal trainer for two years now, training numerous clients privately and in the group fitness setting. I have a lot of passion for helping others and I wanted to be able to reach more people. So here I am, now online! 

 

I am a former athlete. Just name the sport and I have probably competed at some point in my life. Football and Rugby were the sports that got me into fitness training. Working out on my own for physical and mental “gains” has been a hobby ever since. However, having a baby boy two years ago changed the game for me. Getting older, with family and my career on my mind, I had to find new ways to stay active and I had to find time to keep fitness a priority. This is a common reality for most people of all ages and walks of life. I have trained the mom of 2, the grandmother who wants better daily living, and the child who wants to get better at baseball. My motto is, “Fitness for everyone”.

 

Outside of fitness, I love spending time with my family. I'm a huge sports fan! I can play them, watch them and talk about them all day. With that being said, I am not your typical sports fanatic, sagas like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are my favorite. A good thriller tv series keeps me on my toes. I love to play video games, to cook, and to go hiking.

I have extensive experience with individuals of all age groups. From rehab, to daily living, to sport specific goals, I meet individuals in the middle. 

Elise McFadden, Los Angeles based Coach

Hi! I'm Elise. I have been a personal trainer for 3 years, both online and in person in the greater Los Angeles area.  My focus lies in strength training and autoimmune health. 

​

I was a dancer for 15 years until I developed an Autoimmune Disease in 2015.  My disease was rapid and my dance career was unfortunately fleeting. I was diagnosed with Lupus, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis in what felt like over night. It took doctors 3 years before fully diagnosing me and getting my medication right; however, it was not the medication alone that got me to where I am now. Nutrition, strength, and mobility training has made living with an autoimmune disease manageable.

​

When I’m not training I enjoy exploring new styles of AIP complaint cuisine;  I'm not the most talented in the kitchen, but I enjoy exciting food. I love to cross stitch gifts for my friends, golfing with my family, training in Barred Apparatus and going to see live music.​

Zach Sweren, Los Angeles based Coach

Hi, I’m Zach! With seven years of athletic experience, I specialize in weight loss, habit creation, and long-term habit retention. Having personally faced lifelong struggles with weight, I understand the ups and downs of the process and how to break through barriers. At one point, I has lost 75 pounds and then gained 65 of it back. This has lead me to where I am in my fitness journey today.

 

One of my favorite ways to make losing weight more fun has always been cooking and developing strategies that make meal time more interesting. Nutrition doesn't have to be boring!

Outside of fitness, I have been a passionate drummer for 16 years and I love to read and listen to philosophy lectures.
